About

Joe’s experiences as a performance coach, personal trainer and stretch therapist span 12 years. He offers a functional approach designed to ensure the body is aligned, balanced, and moves optimally – free from dysfunction – while eliminating chronic aches and pain that plague so many. Past clients include professional and college athletes, elite level youth soccer players, a diverse group of clients as a personal trainer, and experience working at two outpatient rehab clinics. After a lifetime associated with sports, he left the competitive environment, choosing to work with clients passionate about their well-being, who seek to improve quality of life from a holistic perspective. His fascination with the mind-body connection, exploration into energy medicine, and spiritual journey all contributed to this altered course. He obtained a BS in Psychology, then attended the University of Northern Colorado, where he received a MS in Sport and Exercise Science, with an emphasis in Social Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity. Since graduate school, he’s extensively researched perfectionism, while educating others to better understand how it can negatively affect both physical and emotional health. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA, an EXOS Performance Specialist (XPS), Functional Movement Screen certified (FMS), completed extensive stretch therapist training recognized by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), and is a reiki practitioner.

PERSONAL TRAINING
Personal training is individualized to each client and designed to set the body’s foundation. Improve posture, functional movement patterns, mobility and stability, and core strength so you can live an active lifestyle and participate in the hobbies you enjoy. When our body moves as it was designed, the discomfort felt in trouble spots, like shoulders, lower back, and hips commonly fade away. The program eliminates dysfunction – muscle imbalance, asymmetries, and poor posture – that are likely to contribute to chronic aches, pain, or develop into injury.
*** To maximize results, ask about add-on option for at-home program design between sessions***

STRETCH THERAPY
Stretch therapy sessions are designed to help you improve mobility, reduce stiffness and soreness, recover faster, move stuck energy, and help you relax. Sessions are tailored to meet the specific needs of each client, using a combination of passive, dynamic, and active stretch techniques (such as AIS or PNF methods. A session with a trained therapist allows you stretch more effectively than is possible on your own. Relieve tensions in the neck and shoulders, discomfort in the lower back and hips, or any area that feels stuck within the body. Improve muscle elasticity and train the nervous system to feel safe allowing the body to move freely, increasing range of motion.
