Kundalini- White Tantra Practice for the Love Within

with Lauren Higdon

“Kundalini Yoga is..a practice of a person’s own excellence which is dormant and which is awakened” – Yogi Bhajan

Kundalini yoga is a sacred practice. It dates back at least 6000 years and is considered the yoga for “householders” or those having to tend to the challenging demands of daily life. Because of the brilliantly woven science and artfulness of the practice, it is very powerful and highly efficient. Kundalini is open to everyone and modifications may be made for every Kriya (set of asanas/movements, breathwork, chanting, mudras and meditation – typically held for a set amount of time).  Kundalini yoga is the Yoga of Awareness as it helps to bring us more fully into the present moment with tools to better tend to and be in harmony with our inner and outer landscape.

You may experience an array of emotions including joy, frustration, bliss, anger, confusion, clarity, and so on. This is normal and simply a matter of your brain and body responding to the flow and shifts in your energy. The more you practice, the stronger, more balanced, grounded, and peaceful you will become. Kundalini is also highly effective for strengthening our core muscles, creating mental clarity and greater focus.

Please remember to simply do your best. Take brief rests or sips of water when you need to and then return to the practice. I will make myself available after class to address any questions or concerns that arose during our practice time.
