Your Yogic S*x Life (Class Series) with Sarah Belzile

February 21st Class: Svadaya (Self Inquiry) and the Three Voices of Brahmacharya

How do the guiding principles of yoga, the yamas and the niyamas, apply to our love lives? In this class, you will be guided through practical exercises to help you develop skills for fulfillment and connection in your personal life. These skills help us not only achieve erotic mastery, they also make us better humans and create the world that we want to live in. This class is for anyone who aspires to have a healthy s*x life AND live a yogic lifestyle. The class will be guided by Sarah Belzile, yoga instructor, ashram founder, embodiment guide, intimacy coach and erotic educator. Sarah will offer some framing about how we can approach our intimate lives as a spiritual path, as this is the path she has personally been on for many years. As we learn to love ourselves and other people more skillfully, Sarah believes that this brings us all a little closer to creating Heaven on Earth. In this class, we will delve into the concept of “svadyaya” which is a Sanskrit word that has several meanings. Specifically, we will explore three inner voices – the mind, the heart and the genitals (or sexual center). Often, these three voices operate in conflict with one another. You will be guided through specific exercises to connect with these three aspects of yourself and to bring them into more harmony with each other. When these three voices work together, they help us to master our life force energy, which is what is meant by the Sanskrit term “brahmacharya”. Sarah is offering a series of classes on this theme at Centered. The classes will build on each other, but it is also possible to attend on a drop-in basis. In your practice with Sarah, here are some examples of skills that you can build:

● Asking for what you want
● Learning to release shame and self-soothe
● Setting boundaries with skill and care
● Practicing consent more gracefully
● Having difficult and tender conversations
● Attuning to yourself and another person simultaneously
● Guiding your erotic energy into creative outlets
● Sharing in an appropriately vulnerable way
● Talking about feelings
● Making friends with your body, exactly as it is, right now
● Feeling sexy and attractive
● Expressing your desire to another person in a non-creepy way
● Dealing with rejection and disappointment constructively
● Getting clear about what really turns you on
● Embodiment & eroticism as a spiritual path

5 Element Wu Xing 五行 Qigong Weekend Workshop
with Tonya LMT., CST., MQT., CQI.
One may understand the practice of qigong as the experiential study of Yin/Yang philosophy, meditation, breath, and movement practiced in an integrated, organized flow, with the express purpose of harmonizing the body, mind and spirit with nature. Qigong classes include standing and walking meditation, form instruction, form correction, and practice. There are many forms designed to focus on a particular plane; however, all aspects of self are affected in the process. 5 Elements Qigong is one which easily translates into a practice for restoration, for mental balance, or for building strength.
In 2 days, we will:
*Explore the 5 elements of the body- including their Physical, Mental, Spiritual/Emotional states
*Explore the relationship between the inside and outside world
*Learn to work with energy through Movement, Vibration/Sound, Breath, and Attention for restoration/cultivation of Peace, Longevity, and Vitality
This is an All Levels Workshop. It will both provide a solid foundation for beginners, as well as exponentially enriching one’s current mind-body practice. It is not uncommon to find 10 year practitioner training next to a first day student. There is no competition. We are all fishing in our own rivers, in our own depths. You will find this one form, practiced for a few minutes a day can carry you through your entire life, bring you improved health, mental stability, and great enjoyment.

International Women’s Month – Salt & Somatic Yoga

This special event celebrating International Women’s Month includes a 45-minute Somatic Yoga Class (suitable for any level) in Centered’s beautiful studio to help you explore mindful embodiment, and a restorative 45-minute halotherapy (dry salt therapy) session in Lexington Salt Cave, surrounded by nearly 7 tons of grounding, pink Himalayan salt!

Somatic yoga is a practice that focuses on internal sensations and re-educating the nervous system through slow gentle movements, while releasing tension and increasing body awareness. Halotherapy involves exposure to and breathing in a microscopic aerosol of medical grade salt particles, helping to open the airways and cleanse the respiratory system. It can also balance skin pH and help reduce inflammation, while helping the body and mind to relax deeply.
