Monica Livingston
Massage Therapist, Yoga Instructor

Monica found yoga over 20 years ago after having her first child and dealing with chronic unexplained pain. Yoga was (and still is) a powerful practice that helped relieve her physical symptoms as well as improving her mental health and stress response. She completed her 200 hour training with Amanda McMaine through the Lexington Healing Arts Academy in 2010 and in September 2021 she completed her 300 hour with Amanda at The Essence of Yoga Studio. She is Trauma Informed Certified through the Essence of Yoga. Monica completed the 200 hour program with Jessica Lichaa at Radically Rooted April 2022. Monica is a mother of five and Yoga has become a way of living alive and present. She loves to be active, in nature exploring, spending time with family, cooking, reading and being a lifelong student. Since a child, through her mother’s influence, Monica has always been interested in wellness and health sciences.

Monica’s philosophy on yoga is that

“Anyone, Anywhere at Anytime, can do yoga just as they are and some of the most important
yoga is done off the matt. Keep it fun, keep it filled with love, breathe, and keep going. “
